First of all I want to thank Pocono Raceway (@PoconoRaceway) for the “GREAT” picture this morning of the start/finish line. The best thing about this picture is, it is dry and sunny. That is the forecast for today. There has been some patchy fog this morning around the mountains and in the valleys but we will see sunny skies with temperatures getting into the upper 70s. Around race time, scheduled for around noon today on ESPN, it will be sunny with a temperature in the mid 70s.
Looking Ahead to Next Weekend: Next weekend the Nationwide Series and Sprint Cup Series come to my backyard of Western New York. They will be turning the many corners of Watkins Glen (@WGI) Looking at the forecast, and please keep in mind this many days out is very tough to get accurate, it looks like a very nice and comfortable Friday and Saturday with a warm, humid and possibly damp Sunday with showers and storms. I will tell you that there are a lot of questions right now about Sunday and I am not calling it anything at this point. I just wanted to give everyone a first look.
I will be going to Watkins Glen this coming weekend and this will be my first NASCAR race. I am very excited, but I have been to the Glen for the last 2 Indy Car events there in early July. I would love to meet some of the twitter followers that follow me on twitter. If you want you can follow me on @NASCAR_WXMAN (My NASCAR tweet) or my main account @BrianNeudorff) and I would love any comments or questions you may have.
